Jhapa. CPN-UML Chairman KP Sharma Oli has inspected the government building that was burnt down on September 24.
He inspected Damak Municipality, Area Police Office and Inland Revenue Office which falls under his constituency in Jhapa-5.
Chairman Oli visited the house he built 30 years ago. Oli had sold the house. However, on September 24, the Genji group set fire to the house built by Oli.
“This is the house that Radhika built 30 years ago by withdrawing Rs 7 lakh from her Provident Fund,” Oli said after reaching the room of his old house.
Incidentally, the bed used by Oli in the same house 30 years ago has been saved from burning. At that time, he said, it cost him Rs 2,000.
Oli also inspected the house of Damak Municipality Mayor Ram Thapa that was destroyed by the fire. “Special thanks for coming. When my house was burnt, everything was burnt except the clothes on my body,” Mayor Thapa told Oli.
Chairman Oli inspected the houses that were burnt down in his constituency during the Jenji movement. “The time will come to take action against those involved in vandalism and arson of private and government property,” he said. Chairman Oli inspected the municipal committee party office.
