Stock market rises to over Rs 9 billion

Kathmandu. The stock market closed higher on Thursday, the last trading day of the week. Today, the NEPSE index increased by 3.95 points to close at 2,714.61 points. Likewise, the Sensitive Float Index decreased by 0.47 points and the Sensitive Float Index decreased by 0.14 points.

Similarly, transactions worth more than Rs 9 billion were recorded on Thursday. Shares worth Rs 8.92 billion were traded on Wednesday and Rs 9.07 billion was traded today.

Out of 13 sub-groups, the indices of 10 sub-groups have increased while the indices of other three sub-groups have fallen. The index of the finance sub-group increased the most by 2.38 percent on the day. The indices of development banks, hotel and tourism and production and processing sub-groups increased by more than 1 percent today. The index of the trade sub-group decreased the most by 1.15 percent on the day.

Share prices of 4 companies traded at positive circuit levels today. Shares of SY Panel Nepal, Trishuli Hydropower Company, Shreenagar Agritech Industry and Corporate Development Bank were traded in the positive circuit level today.

Similarly, the share price of Excel Development Bank has increased by 10 percent and the share price of Rawa Energy Development has increased by 9 percent. Shares of Kalika Power Company fell by 6.25 percent on the day.

Ankhu Khola Hydropower Company Ltd was in the top position on the basis of turnover today. Shares worth Rs 40.82 crore were traded today.
