Kathmandu. Nepali Congress President Gagan Kumar Thapa has been nominated as the candidate for the post of Prime Minister.

A meeting of the party’s central committee held today decided to field Thapa as the candidate for the post of Prime Minister on March 4, said Vice-President Bishwa Prakash Sharma.

Vice-President Sharma said that the proposal was presented in the Central Working Committee meeting of the party’s central committee to make Thapa as the candidate for the Prime Minister.

According to him, the proposal was seconded by Vice-President Pushpa Bhusal and passed by the Central Working Committee.
