Kathmandu. Nepali Congress (NC) President Gagan Kumar Thapa has been appointed as the party’s president today.
KATHMANDU — Former General Secretary Thapa has been unanimously elected the party president in the second special general convention held in Kathmandu on January 14.
The first meeting of the newly-elected working committee is taking place at the party central office, Sanepa, today. According to the party office, the meeting to be held at 1:00 pm would discuss the upcoming election of the member of the House of Representatives and contemporary political issues.
The meeting has been requested for the presence of office-bearers, members and province presidents, said central office secretary Prakash Sharma.
