Kathmandu. There is a growing demand for a public discussion among the top leaders of the major political parties before the House of Representatives elections scheduled for March 4.

CPN-UML Chairman and former Prime Minister KP Sharma Oli is ready for a debate at a time when such demands are increasing.

However, senior leader of the Rastriya Swatantra Party (RJP) Balen Shah, who is contesting from Jhapa-5 along with Oli, has refused to do so. Balen, who is contesting the election with Oli, has refused to stand on the same platform.

“Standing on the same stage with the killer of 76 children and his accomplice would be one of them,” Balen said in a statement. This means that he has rejected a public debate.

He also asked UML Chairman KP Sharma Oli to accept him as a terrorist and wrote, “It is right to accept you as the one who burnt the country, after all, the houses of the leaders are somewhere, you knew that you yourself burnt 24 cardboards to hide the terrorism that killed children on the 23rd.” We’ll talk more about when we will be able to accept ourselves as terrorists. ’
