Head. The excitement of the House of Representatives election scheduled for March 4 has intensified in Siraha. Nine candidates who are in the centre of national politics and have become ministers are in the fray in all the four constituencies of the district.
Especially, the presence of former ministers in Siraha constituency-4 has made this area the center of everyone’s interest. In Siraha constituency-1, former minister for general administration Ram Chandra Yadav and Rastriya Swatantra Party (RSP) leader Bablu Gupta are in the fray.
Similarly, in constituency no 3, CPN-UML’s former law minister Lilanath Shrestha and NCP’s former minister Bishwanath Sah are in the fray. Since they are two old and experienced leaders, the competition between them has further heated up the election atmosphere here.
Five former ministers are contesting in Siraha constituency-4. Former Information and Communications Minister Raj Kishor Yadav from Janata Samajbadi Party (JSP) Nepal, Ajaya Shankar Nayak from NCP and Dharmanath Prasad Sah from CPN (UML) are in the fray for the post.
Similarly, former Minister for Forest and Environment Birendra Mahato and former Minister for Science and Technology Bishwendra Paswan are also in the race from Janamat Party.
The Nepali Congress (NC) has fielded Chandrakala Devi Yadav as a new face in the constituency. Similarly, the Rastriya Swatantra Party (RSP) has fielded Tapeshwar Yadav from the same constituency.
