Non-Resident Nepali Association (NRNA) meets Foreign Minister Sharma

Kathmandu. KATHMANDU: The Non-Resident Nepalis Association (NRNA) has held a meeting with Minister for Foreign Affairs Balananda Sharma in connection with the preparations for the 12th General Convention and the International Conference.

President of Non-Resident Nepali Association (NRNA) Dr.TAG_OPEN_div_15 The delegation led by Dr Badri KC called on Minister for Foreign Affairs Sharma and apprised him of the progress made so far regarding preparations for the 12th general convention and the international conference.

The NRNA delegation had enquired Foreign Minister Sharma about the progress of forming the main organizing committee for the 12th general convention of the NRNA.TAG_OPEN_div_13 It is said the Diaspora Division of the Ministry is working in this regard.  The government of Nepal will form a high-level organizing committee under the chairmanship of the Foreign Minister for the general convention of NRNA.

On the occasion, Vice-President Dr Hemraj Sharma informed that the 12th general convention of the Association is going to be held especially after the broader unification.TAG_OPEN_div_11

He also pointed out the need for the Ministry and the Association to jointly revise the draft of the bill designed to amend and integrate the laws related to Non-Resident Nepalis prepared by the Ministry of Foreign Affairs.TAG_OPEN_div_9 The ministry and the association can collaborate to make necessary revisions in this regard.
