Kathmandu. KATHMANDU: Rastriya Janamorcha has stressed the need for adopting a decentralized and balanced development policy for the development along with regional balance in Nepal.
Unveiling its election manifesto for the upcoming House of Representatives election on March 4, the Rastriya Janamorcha (RJM) today stressed that the state should give priority to the development of the districts and remote areas that are lagging behind in terms of development.
The Rajmo has concluded that corruption is the most serious problem in the sustainable development of the country. For this, a high-level powerful commission should be formed to investigate and take action against corruption at all levels.
Stating that the tourism sector is the major basis for the overall development of the country, it has been said that works should be forwarded by making a master plan after studying and researching the districts and places having the potential for the development of tourism sector.
The manifesto has also stressed on the need of reconciling the ancient and Buddhist archaeological remains and ruins of Lumbini, Tilaurakot of Kapilvastu, Rupandehi, Kapilvastu and West Nawalparasi.
Similarly, the manifesto has stressed on the development of transport, protection of environment, cooperatives, agriculture, industry, water resources, foreign policy, nationality, employment, workers’ rights, rehabilitation, health, sports, education, social security, protection of senior citizens, among other sectors.
Speaking at a program to release the manifesto, RJM Chairman Chitra Bahadur KC said that the people should elect right party and candidate by learning from past mistakes and weaknesses in the election scheduled for March 4.
