Kathmandu. KATHMANDU: Nepali Communist Party (NCP) leader Dev Gurung has said that the party would prepare its manifesto for the upcoming elections in a way to free Nepal from production-oriented and war economy.
Speaking at a programme organized by Nafiz on Sunday, Gurung said that the country’s economy was in a serious crisis and would focus on it.
He said that good governance would be the first agenda to improve Nepal’s economy. “We have emphasized on making Nepal’s economy production-oriented. We have emphasized on cooperatives and public sector to increase production to make them self-reliant,” he said.
Gurung said that the manifesto will focus on employment-oriented economy and expansion of market for agricultural products. He claims that the game changer project will be emphasized by giving priority to big industries. “We have laid emphasis on making the social services qualitative and the state service-oriented,” he said, adding that inclusive economy and environment-friendly economy will also be included in the manifesto.
He said that a manifesto would be brought for the development of digital economy and implementation-oriented manifesto. Stating that it has been very publicity in the past, he claimed that this time it will be implemented in the manifesto.
He said that the national and international situation was the reason for the failure to implement the manifesto. He said that the world market is going to war economy and the world is moving in a panic direction and the economy is becoming west-centric. “We will bring a declaration to free Nepal from war economy. ’
