Jhapa. Roshani Budha, 26, of Kharpunath Rural Municipality-2 in Humla district was arrested in possession of heroin.

He had been working as a waiter at a Japanese restaurant in Kolkata for the past two years and was found concealed in 144 grams and 400 milligrams of brown heroin hidden in both pockets of his trousers at around 5.35 pm on Monday, said Information Officer at the District Police Office, Khagendra Bahadur Khadka.

He is currently in the custody of the District Police Office and investigation is underway and two more persons involved in the drug smuggling have been arrested in Kathmandu on the basis of his statement.

A police team from the Narcotics Control Bureau Kathmandu arrested Santosh Banjara, 30, of Panchpokhari Rural Municipality-6, Sindhupalchowk and Thormus Tamang, 21, of Doramba Rural Municipality-5, Ramechhap.
