Kathmandu. Surya Jyoti Life Insurance has earned a net profit of Rs 20.18 crore in the first quarter of the current FY. The profit increased by 2.92 percent compared to the same period last year. The company had posted a net profit of Rs 19.61 crore in the same quarter last year.
During the period, the company’s net premium increased by 14.63 percent to Rs 5.71 billion. Similarly, the total income increased by 10.03 percent to Rs 7.70 billion.
As of mid-January, the insurance company has increased the claim payment by 11.34 percent to Rs 6.27 billion.
The company’s earnings per share increased by 23 paise to Rs 8.06 and net worth of Rs 123.33. The insurance company has a paid-up capital of Rs 5.01 billion with a paid-up capital of Rs 440.21 million and Rs 452.9 million in retirement earnings.
