Kathmandu. The weather is generally cloudy in the hilly and mountainous areas including Bagmati and Gandaki provinces while the remaining parts are partly cloudy today.

According to the Meteorological Forecasting Division, fog will occur in some places of the Tarai region towards the afternoon. There will be generally cloudy in the hilly and mountainous regions of Koshi, Bagmati and Gandaki provinces while it will be partly cloudy in the rest of the country. Light rain will occur in one or two places of the high hilly and mountainous region of Koshi, Bagmati and Gandaki provinces.

Similarly, fog will occur in some places of the Tarai region tonight. There will be partly cloudy in the hilly and mountainous regions of Koshi, Bagmati and Gandaki provinces while it will be mainly fair in the rest of the country. Light rain will occur in some places while light snowfall is predicted in high hilly and mountainous region of Koshi and Gandaki provinces.

The Division has urged one and all to be alert as snowfall, rain and fog would affect daily life, tourism, trekking and health as well as air and road transport.
