Finance Minister Khanal reached Baglung and asked them to work confidently for the election.

Kathmandu. Finance Minister Rameshwor Khanal has urged all stakeholders to make preparations for the elections without any fear. He said the government was making arrangements for the general public to cast their votes in a peaceful environment.

Minister Khanal directed one and all to prepare for the elections without any hesitation and urged the citizens to remain confident that they would be able to exercise their franchise in a fearless environment. He also monitored the District Election Officer’s Office, Baglung, District Election Office and District Administration Office.

After the monitoring, Minister Khanal inquired about the security arrangements to be made during the elections, police mobilization and other issues in the district-based security committee, said Chief District Officer Krishna Prasad Acharya.

Finance Minister Khanal said there would be no dearth of resources in the election. “It is the duty of all to make the election successful, it is our responsibility to ÷make the security arrangements as well as the implementation of the code of conduct,” he said, adding that the government would leave no stone unturned to conduct the elections in a fear-free environment. If there are any problems, it will be resolved if it is informed immediately, for this mutual coordination and cooperation is necessary. Citizens had to vote in a comfortable environment. ”

On the occasion, Finance Minister Khanal inquired about the overall security situation in the district, information about the polling centres and the status of the implementation of the code of conduct. Chief Election Officer of Baglung, Sita Sharma Adhikari, apprised the Finance Minister about the arrangements for law and order in the district, implementation of the code of conduct and preparations for the elections held so far.

Minister Khanal, who reached Baglung today itself, has gone to the Election Officer’s Office, Constituency No. 2, Burtibang for monitoring after taking stock of the election preparations and the situation of the district.

He also directed the security bodies to be alert by editing the wrong and misleading information that comes during the election. On the occasion, Chief Election Officer, Chief District Officer Acharya, Superintendent of Police Tilak Bharati, among others apprised Minister Khanal about the election code of conduct.

There are 10 local levels and 85 wards in Baglung district. According to the District Election Office, 107 polling stations and 230 polling centres have been set up in the House of Representatives election scheduled for March 4. There are a total of 193,381 voters in Baglung. A total of 23 candidates are contesting for the two House of Representatives elections.
