Kathmandu. Police have arrested a man who stole gold ornaments worth Rs 10.4 million from the house of Rinji Lama of Bouddha in Kathmandu on Tuesday.

Police have arrested Prem Chaudhary of Banke from Nagarjun Municipality-6 last night. Senior Superintendent of Police Ramesh Thapa said police confiscated 65 tolas of gold from Chaudhary.

According to him, the police were compelled to open fire after he attacked the police with a khukuri. The accused was shot in the leg. He is currently undergoing treatment at the Trauma Center. A policeman was also injured.
