Kathmandu. The Department of Commerce, Supplies and Consumer Protection has imposed cash fines on two firms.

The department has also imposed a fine of Rs 10,000 on Shrestha Food Store, Kathmandu Metropolis-30, Maitidevi and Ghimire Region Kinara Stores, Tokha municipality-7 for failing to comply with the monitoring.

Blast Fashion Collection has been directed to present the department within three days with documents related to the business. Likewise, the department has issued corrective directives to 17 more firms. The department has been regularly monitoring the market in the presence of local administration, consumer rights activists and stakeholders to enforce the law.
