. The Supreme Court (SC) has refused to release Pradip Adhikari, the suspended Director General of Civil Aviation Authority of Nepal (CAAN), on bail.

A division bench of Justices Hari Prasad Phuyal and Shanti Singh Thapa refused to release Adhikari on bail.

A division bench of Justices Hemanta Rawal, Dilli Ratna Shrestha and Bidur Koirala issued the order today.

Adhikari had filed a writ petition at the Supreme Court against the order. The Commission for the Investigation of Abuse of Authority (CIAA) has filed a corruption case against Adhikari on the charge of embezzling money while constructing a heliport at Nalinchowk in Bhaktapur.
