Kathmandu. Paras Khadka, secretary of Cricket Association of Nepal (CAN) and former captain of the Nepali national cricket team, has been appointed as the brand ambassador of the world-famous home appliance brand Hire. Sanjay Golchha, proprietor of Neoteric Nepal, the authorized distributor of Haier Brands in Nepal, and Khadka signed a memorandum of understanding (MoU) on Friday.

Hire Home Appliances is the world’s No. 1 brand. According to data from market research firm Euromonitor International, Haier has held the number one position in terms of sales volume for the past 17 years.

According to 2025 Euromonitor International statistics, Haier has been the world’s No. 1 brand in refrigerators for 18 years, washing machines for 17 years, and wine coolers for 16 years. At the same time, Haier has been the world’s leader in freezer sales for the last 15 years.

As one of the world’s leading home appliance brands, Haier has long invested heavily in international sports as well. As part of this, the company has forged long-term partnerships with world-class sports organizations such as Liverpool FC and the ATP Tour. In this context, it is expected that the presence of Hire will also be present in the sports sector of Nepal in the coming days. Cricketer Paras Khadka said that it is a great opportunity to be associated with Hier.
