Kathmandu. A clash broke out during a raid at a godown at Adarsha Nagar of Birgunj Metropolitan City-10. A joint team of Armed Police Force (APF) and employees of Birgunj Customs Office were attacked by the traders.
The joint team raided the godown of ‘Babita Enterprises’ operated by Pramod Kumar Kanu immediately after receiving information about tax evasion. During the raid, 5 packets of saree, kurta, suruwal and other clothes were seized from the godown.
During the raid, there was a clash between the traders and the security forces. Three APF personnel were injured in the scuffle. After the search of the team, the local traders protested and attacked claiming that they had a clear bill of goods.
According to the APF, the traders pelted stones at the APF. A vehicle of the Armed Police Force (APF) was also damaged by the stones pelted by the traders.
