Head. Police have arrested 13 persons including Naik after a pistol and two bullets were seized from a prison in Siraha district headquarters.

The weapon was confiscated from Indrajit Yadav, also known as ‘Naike’, in course of a special monitoring carried out by the District Security Committee today.

According to Chief District Officer Surendra Poudel, Yadav’s group had beaten up 10 other inmates and taken them out of the prison on Sunday. Acting on a tip-off, the security team searched the prison today and found the weapon.

According to Chief District Officer Poudel, 13 persons including Yadav have been taken out of jail and taken into police custody on the charge of their involvement in the incident. “We have taken them out of jail and kept them in custody and preparations are underway to send them to another jail,” he said. ”

After Yadav’s arrest, his supporters chanted slogans and even vandalized him. The administration has said that extra alertness has been adopted to take the security situation under control.

There are 437 inmates in the prison which has a capacity to accommodate 150 people. Earlier in August, 13 inmates were injured in a clash between the inmates and inmates.
