Ramechhap. At least 9 people were killed in a bus accident near Manthali, the district headquarters of Ramechhap district. According to Ramechhap Deputy Superintendent of Police Bhola Bhatta, 8 people including the bus driver were injured in the accident.

The bus (State 03-01-005 Kha 9975) en route to Okhaldhunga from Kathmandu plunged into the Tamakoshi River some 50 meters down from the road at Manthali municipality-6 in Ramechhap.

Deputy Superintendent of Police (DSP) Bhatta of Ramechhap said that the passengers were rescued from the submerged bus and taken to different hospitals for treatment.
