Birgunj. The District Police Office (DPO) has arrested four persons on the charge of attacking an illegal godown in Birgunj.
Three Armed Police Force (APF) personnel were injured and two vehicles of the Armed Police Force (APF) were injured in an attack by a group of local traders during a raid at the Birgunj Customs Office and the Armed Police Force (APF) on Monday.
Hari Bahadur Basnet, Deputy Superintendent of Police (DSP) and Spokesperson of the Parsa Police, said that four persons have been arrested for their involvement in attacking the Armed Police Force (APF). “Necessary investigation is underway after examining the CCTV footage of those involved in the attack on APF”, he said, adding that the names of those involved would be made public later as necessary investigation was underway into the perpetrators of the attacks. ”
The clash broke out during the seizure of clothes from the house of Madan Prasad Gupta at Adarshanagar on suspicion of evading customs duty. The Armed Police Force (APF) has confiscated goods worth Rs 12.50 lakh from the area.
