Kathmandu. Inaugurating the Nepali Congress Election Publicity Committee Office, Sarawal-4, the party leaders presented the March 4 general election as the people’s mandate towards the party’s transformation, policy and leadership. Referring to the NC’s decision to field central member Binod Chaudhary as a candidate for the House of Representatives from this constituency, the speakers explained his victory by linking his victory to the national political goal.

Nepali Congress Nawalparasi district secretary Umesh Yadav said the NC was transforming itself to lead the next government and the country’s development. Pointing out the need for NC to win with a majority, he said that Binod Chaudhary’s victory from Nawalparasi was imperative to make Gagan Thapa the Prime Minister.

Nepali Congress regional president Mukul Acharya said Binod Chaudhary has played an important role in the party transformation campaign initiated by Gagan Thapa. He expressed the belief that the government to be formed under the leadership of Gagan Thapa would ensure dignified development across the country.

Nepali Congress Nawalparasi Mahasamiti member Radheshyam Chaudhary said the farmers were facing problems like shortage of fertilizers and market and delay in government offices. He said that it was necessary to elect Binod Chaudhary from this constituency for a long-term solution to such problems.

The leaders participating in the program portrayed the March 4 election as the people’s mandate towards the party’s policy, leadership and development agenda.
