Kathmandu. The stock market fell on Tuesday. The stock market fell on Tuesday, the first trading day of the week.
On Tuesday, the NEPSE index decreased by 10.25 points to close at 2,662.14 points. The overall stock market fell 0.38 percent today. Likewise, the sensitive index decreased by 1.26 points, while the float index decreased by 0.82 points and the sensitive float index decreased by 0.56 points.
Along with the stock market, the trading volume has also decreased. Shares worth Rs 10.77 billion were traded in the market on Monday, while shares worth Rs 8.61 billion were traded.
Out of 13 sub-groups, the indices of two sub-groups have increased while the price of 11 sub-groups has fallen. On this day, the indices of mutual funds and trade sub-groups increased modestly. The development bank sub-group index fell the most by 1.15 percent on the day.
The share price of Kalinchowk Darshan Company has increased the most today. The company’s share price rose 6.36 percent. Similarly, the share price of Arun Valley Hydropower Development Company has increased by more than 5 percent and the share price of RBB Focus 40 has increased by 4 percent. Shares of Corporate Development Bank (CDB) fell the most by 5.24 percent on the day.
Arun Valley Hydropower Development Company Ltd is in the top position on the basis of turnover on the day. Shares worth Rs 45.28 crore were traded on the day. Similarly, shares worth more than Rs 40.5 crore were traded in Ankhu Khola Hydropower Company today.
