Kathmandu. At present, there is the influence of weak westerly wind in Nepal. The weather is generally cloudy in the high hilly and mountainous areas of the country including the Sudurpaschim and Karnali provinces while fog is taking place in the Tarai region and the Kathmandu Valley at present.

According to the Meteorological Forecasting Division, fog will prevail in some places of the Tarai region until noon today. There will be generally cloudy in the hilly region while there will be partly cloudy in the rest of the hilly areas and mainly fair in the Tarai region. Light rain and snowfall is likely at one or two places of the high hilly and mountainous region of Koshi, Bagmati, Gandaki and Karnali provinces.

Similarly, there will be smog in some places of the Tarai region tonight. There will be partly cloudy in the hilly region while remaining parts will have fair weather. Light rain will occur in some places while snowfall is predicted in high hilly and mountainous region of Koshi, Gandaki and Karnali provinces.

The Division has stated that there is possibility of fog in some places of the Tarai region until noon and there is no possibility of immediate rain.
