Kathmandu. Indrive, the global mobility and urban services platform, has announced that it has implemented an ultra-low 0.01 percent service charge for its driver partners in Nepal. The initiative, which has been implemented since February 2026, is expected to help driver partners secure almost the entire portion of their income, further strengthening their financial empowerment.
According to the unique peer-to-peer model of InDrive, the fare is mutually agreed between the driver and the passenger. The company believes that the new policy of almost zero service charge will directly benefit the driver partners by making the system more effective, transparent and driver-friendly.
The main objective of this initiative is to increase the real earnings of drivers, strengthen their autonomy and strengthen decision-making while ensuring the sustainable operation of the platform. According to the company, such a low service charge structure will further help establish Indrive as a leading platform for fair pricing and practice the concept of ‘fair rides’.
This 0.01% service charge campaign is also a special effort by Indrive to express gratitude to our hardworking driver partners who keep the city moving on a daily basis. This initiative is expected to provide a meaningful opportunity for drivers to earn more throughout the campaign period, while alleviating financial pressures and helping to increase hands-on revenue.
“At Indrive, we consider ourselves to be part of a larger community, and we believe that strong communities are built on mutual support,” said Sunita Jimi Rai, Senior Driver Operation Space List, Indrive Nepal.
“By implementing 0.01% service tax, we want to ensure that our driver partners can earn more, so that our passengers have a safe, fair and affordable driving experience. This initiative reaffirms our commitment to freedom of choice, fair pricing and safety for all. ’
Beyond the immediate benefits, the campaign will also be rolled out as a learning initiative that will help the company better understand the impact of near-zero service charge on driver engagement, service quality and long-term platform sustainability.
The company has been contributing positively to Nepal’s evolving digital and gig economy while remaining committed to responsible development, regulatory compliance, and fair competition. In addition, Indrive aims to further support its partners in the coming days through driver-centric initiatives, training programs and wellness activities.
