Kathmandu. Kapilvastu district unit chief of Rastriya Swatantra Party (Rastriya Swatantra Party) Rikhiram Bhattarai has been arrested. Bhattarai, a resident of Dhaneshpur in Banganga Municipality-8, had posted the bank documents on his Facebook page.

According to the police, Bhattarai was arrested on Tuesday after he made the documents public on his Facebook wall on February 26. Deputy Superintendent of Police (DSP) Ripendra Kumar Singh said that he was arrested after receiving a complaint of spreading hatred and enmity and breaching privacy by posting various content on social media. Action has been taken against him as per the ‘Electronic Transaction Act, 2063’.

According to DSP Singh, Bhattarai had been assassinating people’s character through Facebook time and again in the past. He has been remanded in custody by three days from the Kapilvastu District Court for further investigation.
