Kathmandu. Prabhu Insurance has earned a net profit of Rs 12.24 crore in the second quarter of the current FY. The profit was 2.01 percent higher than the corresponding period of the previous year. The company had posted a net profit of Rs 12.49 crore in the same period last year.
During the period, the company’s premium increased by 8.38 percent to Rs 30.62 crore. Similarly, income from investment and loan increased by 18.32 percent to Rs 4.91 crore.
Total income of the company increased by 8.76 percent to Rs 48.83 crore.
The company’s earnings per share increased from Rs 14.12 to Rs 14.40 and net worth per share stood at Rs 203.11.
The company with paid-up capital of Rs 1.70 billion has special reserve fund of Rs 1.28 billion, catastrophe fund of Rs 10.73 crore and reserve fund of around Rs 200 million.
