Persona. Birgunj Customs Office has collected Rs 135.48 billion in revenue in the first seven months of the current fiscal year.

The office had set a target of collecting Rs 153 TAG_OPEN_span_6.84 billion revenue for the first seven months of the current fiscal year, but it collected 88.07 per cent of the target.

Information Officer at the Birgunj Customs Office, Udaya Singh Bista, said the customs collection in the first seven months of the current fiscal year has been encouraging. The office collected Rs 18.44 billion in July, Rs 20.73 billion in August and Rs 19.09 billion in September.

Similarly, Rs 17.33 billion was collected in October and Rs 20.80 billion in November. Likewise, it collected Rs 20.20 billion in revenue in January. The office has collected Rs 18.90 billion in revenue against the target of Rs 21.29 billion in the month of January alone. The Department of Customs has set a target of collecting Rs 273.39 billion revenue for the current fiscal year.
