Kathmandu. Kathmandu: The Kathmandu Valley Traffic Police Office has prepared and implemented a special traffic plan to prevent possible crowding during the Mahashivaratri festival.
In view of the situation of unnecessary crowding, the police have prepared and implemented a security plan by determining the route of vehicular movement and determining the parking space.
The Office has prepared and implemented a security plan from today to make the crowd at the Pashupatinath area safe and well-managed. Spokesperson of Kathmandu Traffic Police Office and Superintendent of Police Naresh Raj Subedi said the traffic management has been made efficient to facilitate the movement of devotees and devotees visiting the Pashupatinath area.
According to him, the route has also been fixed with parking arrangements at certain places. According to him, arrangements have been made for parking of the vehicles of the devotees, pass-bearing vehicles and vehicles of security personnel at Sifal ground. According to him, parking arrangements have been made for the vehicles of pilgrims and visitors across Guheshwori and passes carriers at the Pashupati Development Trust office and Bhandarkhal.
Likewise, arrangements have been made to keep the vehicles of security personnel and fire trucks, fire trucks, ambulances, drinking water and security personnel in the Bankali area, SP Subedi said.
He said that arrangements have been made for parking of the vehicles of the devotees entering the country through different checkpoints. According to him, for the convenience of the devotees coming from other districts, arrangements have been made for unhindered movement and parking spaces have also been demarcated.
According to the Kathmandu Valley Traffic Police Office, the vehicles plying in the Gaushala area via Gaushala area would be restricted and alternative routes would be used to make the traffic easier. Spokesperson of the Kathmandu Valley Traffic Police Office, Subedi, said that a large number of traffic police personnel have been mobilized on corridor roads and inner roads for the same.
Arrangements have been made to allow the movement of vehicles in Chabahil, Gaushala and Tilganga areas without any hindrance.
Superintendent of Police (SP) Subedi said that all goods carriers coming from Tinkune towards Sinamangal, Bouddha area towards Gaurighat, Old Baneshwor, Gaushala and Mitrapark have been prohibited as per the need. According to him, vehicles coming from Bagmati corridor and Jorpati via Chabahil have been designated as parking spaces across Guheshwori.
Superintendent of Police (SP) Subedi said arrangements would be made to operate vehicles plying on routes from Chabahil to Gaushala, Old Baneshwor to Gaushala, Gyaneshwor Maitidevi to Ratopul towards Gaushala and Sifalchaur to Jaya Bageshwori.
