Printing of around 2 crore ballot papers completed, remaining to be completed today

Bhaktapur. The printing of ballot papers for the election to the House of Representatives has reached the final stage. The Janak Education Materials Centre has said that the remaining five lakh ballot papers will be printed in a day today.

Executive Managing Director of the Centre, Yadunath Poudel, informed that the printing of ballot papers would conclude today. He shared that the remaining five lakh ballot papers for Bagmati Province would be completed by this evening.

“The printing of ballot papers has reached the final stage. Out of the 20.3 million first-past-the-post ballot papers, the remaining 500,000 ballot papers could be printed in a day today. ”

According to him, the ballot papers will be transported to the remaining districts by tomorrow if the printing is completed today.

Stating that 13 to 15 lakh ballot papers were printed daily and ballot papers were printed before the target, he said the Election Commission has already supplied one million sample ballot papers to various places. According to him, the process of printing and packing the ballot papers for the 208.30 million proportional representation category is underway and sending them to the respective districts.

Centre’s managing director Poudel said that all the ballot papers have already reached Karnali and Sudurpaschim provinces and works were underway with the target of reaching the remaining areas by the 12th.
