Kathmandu-6: Voters say they come to the election like a bow and don’t care later.

. As the date for the upcoming election to the House of Representatives draws closer, the election excitement is increasing. The election heat has heated up the country after the Election Commission opened the way for election publicity from February 17. At present, the leaders of the political parties are busy in the doorsteps of the voters. Voters are being greeted by the candidates. Voters are also expressing their sadness that these leaders are greeted only during elections and are not paid attention at other times.

Bishnu Lamichhane, a voter of Tarkeshwor, said that the need of the hour is to create an environment where the citizens can easily get government services by ensuring health, education and employment. I ask the same question as how to solve the problems of drinking water, reliable and safe roads in the village, and sewerage. ”

Kathmandu: CPN-UML candidate Aman Kumar Maskey has resigned from the Bagmati Province Assembly seat in Kathmandu-6.TAG_OPEN_div_68 He has the experience of being the Minister of Physical Infrastructure Development of the state. Baniya is the president of Nepali Congress Kathmandu. He had also presided over the recently concluded special general convention of the Nepali Congress. Similarly, Himal Sharma came from the student politics of the then Maoist party. Shishir Khanal of the Rastriya Samajwadi Party (RSP) is contesting the election in 2079 BS. He also served as the Minister for Education and Science and Technology for a brief period when Pushpa Kamal Dahal was the Prime Minister of the Communist Party of Nepal.

There are 79 polling stations in 32 polling stations in Kathmandu constituency-6.TAG_OPEN_div_64 Of the total 67,759 voters in the constituency, 51.59 per cent or 34,956 are women. There are 32,802 male voters or 48.41 per cent of the voters.  In 2022, there were 62,102 voters in the district.

The constituency comprises Wards 26, 27 and 28 of Kathmandu Metropolitan City, Wards 1, 8, 9, 10 and 11 of Tokha Municipality and Wards 1, 2, 6, 7, 8, 9, 10 and 11 of Tarakeshwor Municipality.TAG_OPEN_div_62 This area is located from the main urban area of Kathmandu to Kanth. On the occasion, Rastriya Samajwadi Party candidate Khanal said that Nepal should be made a respectable middle-income country in the next 10 years.

In the 2017 parliamentary election, Shishir Khanal of Rastriya Samajwadi Party (RSP) had won from Kathmandu-6 with 14,221 votes or 38.01 per cent of the votes.TAG_OPEN_div_44 His nearest rival was left alliance’s Narayan Kaji Shrestha who got 9,917 votes. That’s 23 total votes. 84 percent.
