Damn. Locals of the northern belt of Jhapa constituency-5 have demanded the CPN-UML Chairman and former Prime Minister KP Sharma Oli to provide irrigation facilities.

Oli, who is also the candidate for the upcoming House of Representatives election, made this demand when he met with the locals on Tuesday.

Dikendra Ghimire, a local of Damak-3, said that the facilities related to roads, electricity and drinking water were provided through Oli’s initiative in the past and he is hopeful that the rest of the facilities will also be available through Oli’s efforts.

During the meeting held at Dumse of Damak-3, the locals urged the government to expedite the construction of the park along with Birat Buddha statue in the area.

The industrial park in the southern part of Damak, the view tower in the central part and the park with Buddha statue in the northern part of the city are expected to develop Damak as an international industrial and tourism city in the long run.

Chairman Oli took part in the meetings to be held at different places of Damak on Tuesday.
