Kathmandu. KATHMANDU: The Nepali Congress (NC) is to hold an open question and answer session on the issues mentioned in the election manifesto. Party President Gagan Kumar Thapa is scheduled to hold an open question-answer session while informing about the pledge letter made public in Janakpur on Wednesday.
President Thapa is scheduled to answer the ‘Our Promise Questions’ programme to be held at the City Hall in Kathmandu from 1 pm on Thursday. NC Spokesperson Devraj Chalise said that President Thapa is scheduled to brief the affidavit through a big LED screen.
He said, “I would give detailed information about the affidavit made public by the Nepali Congress from Janakpur, the capital of Madhes, on Wednesday in Kathmandu on Thursday and an open question-answer programme will be organized on the issues mentioned in it.” ’
Spokesperson Chalise said that a system is being made to ask questions directly from all over the world using technology and the President will answer them directly.
Arrangements have been made for Thapa to take questions from the participants at the National Assembly Hall, the venue of the program, and Thapa will answer them. The Nepali Congress has made public its plan to form the government under its own leadership and plan to do so in the next five years.
The general public will be allowed to raise questions and inquiries on the issues covered in the pledge. This is the first time in the country’s political history that the practice of citizens asking questions about the election manifesto and the leaders of the parties concerned answering publicly and directly is taking place.
