Kathmandu. Police have arrested three persons on the charge of cheating Rs 44.70 lakh on the pretext of sending them to different countries for foreign employment.

The arrestees have been identified as Saraswati Shrestha,26, of Kathmandu metropolis-8, Dipesh Shrestha,38, of Kathmandu metropolis-30 and Maniraj Rai,48, of Kepilasgadhi rural municipality-2 in Khotang.

“Among the arrested, Saraswati Shrestha was arrested on the basis of the complaint of the victims, 24 lakhs on the pretext of sending them to Japan, Dipesh Shrestha 1.7 million on the pretext of sending them to Iceland and Maniraj Rai taking Rs 370,000 for sending them to Albania. ”

Spokesperson Karki said that the arrestees have been sent to the Department of Foreign Employment Tahachal for further investigation and necessary action.
