Writ petition against dissolution of parliament to be heard after election

Kathmandu. The hearing on the writ petition filed at the Supreme Court against the dissolution of the House of Representatives will begin only after the upcoming House of Representatives election. The election is scheduled for March 21. The hearing on the writ petition filed at the Supreme Court against the dissolution of parliament has been scheduled for March 5.

A constitutional bench led by Chief Justice Cholendra Shumsher JB Rana issued the order in this regard. Advocate Santosh Bhandari and others had filed a writ petition at the Supreme Court against the Office of the President, Sheetal Niwas.

The Constitutional Bench held today issued an order to continue the hearing from January 6 by submitting the original documents by January 2. According to advocate Bhandari, the order has been issued as per their demand for continuous hearing.

The bench has ordered the government to submit a written response through the Office of the Attorney General by February 2.
