Kathmandu. There is some influence of the Westerly wind in Nepal at present. The Meteorological Forecasting Division, Department of Hydrology and Meteorology, said that the weather is partly cloudy in the mountainous and hilly areas of Gandaki, Karnali and Sudurpaschim provinces at present while the weather is mainly clear in the rest of the areas.

According to the Meteorological Forecasting Division, some places of the Tarai region will witness foggy weather in the morning today. There will be partly cloudy in the hilly region and partly cloudy in the hilly region. The weather will be mainly fair in the Tarai region. Light rain or snowfall is likely to occur at some places of the high hilly and mountainous region of Koshi, Gandaki Province and Bagmati Province and at one or two places of the mountainous region.

Similarly, there will be fog in some places of the Tarai region tonight. The weather will be partly cloudy in the mountainous region of Koshi, Bagmati, Gandaki and Karnali province while it will be clear in the rest of the country. Light rain and snowfall are likely at one or two places of the mountainous region of Koshi, Gandaki and Karnali provinces.

The Division has urged the residents of those areas predicted to witness fog, haze and snowfall and to operate vehicles in these areas with caution.
