Kathmandu. Founding President of Rastriya Swatantra Party (RSP), Makawanpur Bharat Prasad Parajuli has also resigned from the party.
Parajuli, who was in the Nepali Congress before joining the RSP, has returned to the party. Nepali Congress President Gagan Kumar Thapa welcomed Parajuli to the party in Sarlahi this morning.
Parajuli had contested the House of Representatives election from Makawanpur constituency-2 in 2079. Parajuli, a resident of Manahari Rural Municipality in Makwanpur, is considered to have a strong hold in the western part of Makwanpur. Parajuli was the main contender for the ticket from the RSP in the House of Representatives election. Many cadres of the Rashtriya Swatantra Party (RSP) have been dissatisfied with the decision to give tickets to those who have contributed to the party’s formation in Makawanpur.
After joining the Nepali Congress, Parajuli said that he returned to the NC as it was not possible to do true politics by staying in the RSP. “I had a lot of sorrow for the expansion of the RSP organization, but it was not for those who suffered,” he said, adding, “I did not want to stay in the party with capitalist mindset and returned to the NC.” ’
