Nawalparasi. A person died and another was seriously injured in a road accident at Gaindakot in Nawalparasi (Bardaghat Susta East) this morning.

The deceased has been identified as Bijen Pulami, 18, of Devchuli municipality-11, according to Superintendent of Police (SP) Yubraj Khadka of District Police Office, Nawalparasi (Bardaghat Susta East).

Raj BK, 17, of Kawasoti municipality-17 was seriously injured in the incident. The accident took place when a bus (Lu 2 Kha 4461) en route to Kathmandu from Sunauli, hit the motorcycle (Na 63 Pa 9390) en route to Rajahar from Gaindakot, said SP Khadka.

Both the motorcyclist and pillion rider were taken to hospital in critical condition. Motorcyclist Bijen Pulami was pronounced dead at the hospital. The other injured are undergoing treatment.
