Baitadi. KATHMANDU: One more temporary police personnel who was recruited for the security of the upcoming elections has died. The deceased has been identified as Rajendra Prasad Bhatta, 38, of Baitadi Melauli municipality-6.
According to District Police Spokesperson Police Inspector Suraj Singh, Bhatta, who was stationed at Area Police Office, Melauli, fell unconscious at home after returning home last night. He was rushed to Kesharpur Primary Health Centre after he fainted and was pronounced dead on the way to the health centre. Further investigation into the case is underway, police said.
Earlier, Mahadev Odd, 38, of Dasharathchand Municipality-4 was also killed on February 22. Mahadev was found unconscious when he went home to have dinner and was pronounced dead on arrival at the District Hospital. Likewise, Prakash Chand, 32, of Dasharathchand Municipality-4 died after falling from a cliff in the third week of January.
