The stock market rose by 21.62 points.

Kathmandu. The stock market rose on Tuesday, the third trading day of the week. On Tuesday, the NEPSE index increased by 21.62 points to close at 2,638.60 points. The sensitive float index increased by 2.31 points, while the float index increased by 1.40 points and the sensitive float index increased by 0.90 points.

Although the NEPSE index was encouraging, the turnover volume decreased on Tuesday. A total of 9,364,000 units of shares worth Rs 4.23 billion were traded on Monday compared to Rs 5.13 billion on Monday.

The indices of all 13 sub-groups increased today. Among them, the index of hotel and tourism sub-group increased the most by 2.02 percent. Likewise, the sub-indices of development banks, hydropower, production and processing and trade sub-groups increased by more than 1 percent.

Shares of Salpa Development Bank were traded at a positive circuit level on the day. The bank’s share price rose by Rs 43.90 to Rs 483.10 today. Similarly, the share prices of Reliance Spinning Mills and Himalayan Power Partners have increased by more than 9 percent today.

On the basis of transaction amount, SY Panel Nepal topped the list on the day. The company’s shares worth Rs 37.72 crore were traded on the day. Similarly, shares worth Rs 24.5 crore were traded in Ankhu Khola Hydropower Company today.
