Kathmandu. KATHMANDU: Rastriya Swatantra Party (RPP) President Mahendra Singh Thakuri has joined the Nepali Congress (NC). Thakuri, the president of the Rastriya Swatantra Party (RSP), has joined the Nepali Congress just a week before the election to the House of Representatives.

NC central vice-president Bishwa Prakash Sharma welcomed Thakuri into the party. He welcomed Thakuri with a garland. Thakuri joined the Nepali Congress (NC) in the election meeting held at Chaupata of Bardaghat in Nawalparasi.

Thakuri said that the Congress chose the real tiger instead of the paper tiger RSP.
