Let’s go to Kathmandu. The sale, distribution and consumption of alcohol has been banned from today during the election period.

The Election Commission (EC) has urged the government to ban the sale, distribution and consumption of alcohol from 7 days before the polling date until the final results are declared.

Likewise, the government has banned the operation of emergency vehicles (ambulances, fire trucks, hearsembs, blood transfusion vehicles, vehicles of security agencies, vehicles used for repair of electricity, drinking water and sewerage, vehicles of telecommunication services), vehicles of diplomatic missions and vehicles except those with passes on the day of the election from 12:00 midnight on March 4 till the evening of March 4.
