Kathmandu. Ampere, the high-end electric scooter brand produced in India, has been introduced in Nepal. STC Auto Solutions Pvt. Ltd., a subsidiary of STC Group, has been the sole authorized distributor of Ampere brand scooters manufactured by Greaves Electric Mobility Pvt. Ltd., which has 165 years of engineering experience in India.
STC Auto Solutions Pvt. Ltd. has entered the Nepali market with two models of Ampere scooters. Greaves Electric Mobility has been manufacturing electric two-wheelers in India for the last 17 years. Greaves’ product Ampere is one of the top 6 brands in India. STC Auto Solutions has announced the launch of two models of high-performance scooters, the Nexus and Magnus Neo, the world-class high-performance scooters of Ampere.
Ampere scooters are powered by lithium-ferrous phosphate batteries. These scooters have been tested in extreme cold (minus 40 degrees) and other hot (60 degrees). The lithium-ferrophosphate batteries used in the ampere have a life cycle of up to 2,000. These batteries will come with a warranty of 75,000 km or 5 years.
The scooters of Ampere are equipped with a strong chassis, twin suspension, smart technologies. The Ampere Magnus Neo is powered by a 2.5kW motor. The scooter is powered by a 2.3 kWh lithium battery pack that can be fully charged and can travel up to 100 km.
The scooter has a comfortable seat with a loading capacity of 150 kg and a ground clearance of 165 mm. It has low, high and reverse riding modes. Its price has been set at three lakh rupees.
Similarly, the Nexus has a 3.9 kWh motor. It has a 3 kWh LFP battery. The company claims that it can run up to 107 km on a single charge. This battery pack can be charged at home in 3 hours and 30 minutes.
The scooter has a mid-mount motor and offers five ride modes including reverse. Features like alloy wheels, disc brakes, all LED lights, USB charger, connectivity can be found in it. The company has started selling it at a price of three lakh thirty thousand rupees.
