Kathmandu. Senior leader of Rastriya Swatantra Party (Rastriya Swatantra Party) Balendra Sah (Balen) is seen in a different attire. Balen was seen in a different attire at the RSP’s “We have come” change announcement meeting organized in Chitwan.

He is dressed in traditional Nepali Dhaka attire. Since becoming the mayor of Kathmandu Metropolitan City, he has always been seen wearing black clothes. It was a rare sight to see him in a dress other than black at a public event.

The Dhaka dress is considered a symbol of Nepal’s cultural identity. The fabric is specially woven from handwoven yarn and decorated in a colourful pattern. Balen’s Dhaka dress is a reflection of the respect and cultural expression of Nepali traditional attire.
