Kathmandu. KATHMANDU: Nepali nationals living in different countries of the Middle East have been urged to adopt high alertness in view of the present extraordinary situation.

Issuing a message through social media, senior leader of Rastriya Swatantra Party Sah urged Nepalis in Nepal to stay safe and follow the directives of the authorized bodies.

Urging the government to take seriously the information issued by the Nepali embassies in the concerned countries, he advised the people to stay safe at home as far as possible, fully follow the directives of the local security bodies and not travel except in emergencies.

In his message, Shah urged people to stay informed about the nearby safe havens and get in touch with the embassy immediately if needed.

“Stay in regular contact with official information, news and embassies. Stay safe, stay alert,” Shah said.

Shah’s appeal comes at a time when there is growing concern over the safety of Nepali nationals in the Middle East due to the developing tense situation in the Middle East. The Government of Nepal and diplomatic missions are ready to provide support and coordination if needed.
