Nabil Free Burn Treatment Camp Concludes, 65 Burn Patients Treated

Dhangadhi. A three-day ‘Nabil Free Burn Treatment Camp’ has been organized at Seti Provincial Hospital in Dhangadhi, Kailali. According to the bank, 65 patients received free treatment from the camp that was held from February 26 to 28.

A total of 20 patients were referred to the Sushma Koirala Memorial Hospital in Sankhu of Kathmandu while senior doctors performed surgery on 20 patients at the Seti Provincial Hospital.

The camp was jointly organized by Nabil Bank, Sushma Koirala Memorial Hospital and Seti Provincial Hospital. The patients who had been waiting for proper treatment and surgery for a long time and were poor and financially weak received free treatment at the camp.

Durga Pandey, who came to the camp, said that she got good service from the camp. She underwent a neck surgery on her five-year-old daughter at the camp. Two years ago, he had a problem with his throat due to oil burns. “The wound was successfully operated on by a specialist doctor. I would like to thank the organisers for this facility,” she said.

Stating that the problem related to burning incidents is big in Nepal, Prof. Dr. Bhattarai said. Lohani said that the wounds will increase further due to the lack of timely treatment by the victims, where to show the shamans, etc. He said that the camp has made people aware about proper treatment and in future such programs will further benefit the people from the underprivileged sections.

Bharat Luhar, 42, who suffered burn injuries in both his hands while warming himself in the fire, has been referred to Kathmandu for further treatment. He had come to the camp seeking help as he was worried that he did not get proper treatment for the burn wound on time.

“The senior doctors at the camp treated my wound and now I am going to Kathmandu for further treatment,” she said.

A total of 65 participants including 35 men and 30 women participated in the camp organized by Nabil Bank as part of its corporate social responsibility.

“As a part of its corporate social responsibility, Nabil Bank has organized a health camp targeting the burn survivors of remote areas of Sudurpaschim Province in the first phase as they are still not getting proper medical treatment. The camps have provided treatment to the victims,” said Manoj Kumar Gyawali, chief executive officer of Nabil Bank. According to Gyawali, the camp was successful and very effective as a team of specialist doctors from Kathmandu provided treatment to them. He said similar camps would be organized in other provinces as well in the coming days.

Many people are still not getting proper treatment and such burn camps will provide relief to the people by providing essential treatment for burns, said Dr. Giriraj Khati, Chief Medical Superintendent of Seti Provincial Hospital. Hemraj Pandey said. The treatment of burns is sensitive and necessary, said Dr. Mr. Pandey thanked Nabil Bank for supporting the camp. He said he expects more support in the coming days.

Along with the burn camp, basic burn treatment training was also conducted at Seti Provincial Hospital. Deputy Medical Director of Sushma Koirala Memorial Hospital, Dr. Around 50 people including doctors, nurses, administrative chiefs and surgeons of the hospital were imparted training by Raju Bhandari. Dr. According to Bhandari, the training was conducted to develop the skills of the doctors and nurses of the hospital to treat the patients who come for follow-up after the surgery. “We are confident that with this training, if any patient with irritation comes in, the doctor will be able to examine them and provide appropriate treatment and advice,” he said.
