Kathmandu. The Non-Resident Nepalis Association (NRNA) has appealed to the Nepalis to stay comfortable in view of the developments in the Middle East region.
The Non-Resident Nepali Association (NRNA) has expressed serious concern over the safety of Nepalis residing in Israel, Iran, Qatar, Kuwait, UAE, Bahrain among other countries.
“The security of more than 19 lakh Nepalis is the top priority and necessary steps need to be taken,” the statement reads.
“In view of this sensitive situation, all Nepali brothers and sisters in Israel, Iran and other countries in the Middle East are requested to take precautions,” reads the notice. Do not go out except when necessary and stay in a safe place. Avoid unnecessary travel and keep abreast of the local situation. ’
The NRNA has asked the NRNA cadres to remain in regular touch with the National Coordination Council, NRNA Secretariat, local Nepali community, Nepali Embassy and the concerned bodies.
It has also requested that travel to Israel, Iran and other countries in the Middle East be postponed until the current situation is normalized.
NRNA has also requested the Government of Nepal, Ministry of Foreign Affairs and the Nepali embassies in the concerned countries to take stock of the condition of Nepalis in Nepal and take effective steps for their immediate assistance and safe management. For this, it is ready to collaborate with the Government of Nepal as per the need.
