Surkhet. The number of people joining the Nepali Congress (NC) is increasing as the election to the House of Representatives is approaching. The number of people leaving various parties and joining the old party Congress is increasing.
KATHMANDU: Rastriya Swatantra Party (RSP) Karnali Province General Secretary Chandra BK and Rastriya Swatantra Party Surkhet acting district president Jagat Basnet have joined the Nepali Congress. Along with them, the cadres of the RSP have also joined the Congress.
NC central vice-president Bishwa Prakash Sharma welcomed dozens of people who had left the party with them at a function held in Surkhet this morning. The number of people leaving the RSP and joining the Nepali Congress is increasing day by day.
BK accused the RSP of taking Rs 50,000 in the primary election and Rs 25,000 in the direct election but the state and district have not shown its account. She said that the people who came to form the RSP had to return to the old party out of self-pity.
The Rastriya Swatantra Party (RSP) has suffered a major setback after the party’s general secretary and acting president of the state capital joined the Nepali Congress. Senior leader Pushpa Kharal had resigned from the party on Friday night.
