Kathmandu. KATHMANDU: The validity of the research grant for M.Phil and postgraduate research students provided by Kamana Sewa Bikas Bank has been extended till mid-April. The deadline has been extended at the request of various universities and students.
M.Phil in Economics and Management and research students pursuing Masters in Management, Economics and Computer Science and Information Technology will be awarded research grants for carrying out research work.
Applicants should have completed Master’s degree or MPhil in Management or Economics from any university. The government has decided to provide research grant of Rs 1 lakh each to two research students pursuing research work in different areas related to banking and economy, while four research students pursuing Masters in Management, Economics, Computer Science and Information Technology will be provided research grant of Rs 50,000 each for carrying out research work in various areas related to banking, economics and information technology.
For receiving the grant, the applicant has to submit a proposal along with recommendation from the concerned college to the bank by April 13, 2026. The selection committee consisting of experts in the concerned subject will select the students who will receive the grant.
According to the bank, the research work done by the students should be reliable and verifiable and original from a national and international perspective. According to the bank’s CEO Dinesh Thakali, the grant will support the research students pursuing MPhil and Masters in the program.
