Kathmandu. KATHMANDU: The Nepali Congress (NC) has urged one and all to participate in the national dialogue after the completion of voting for a political outlet, saying the current election to the House of Representatives was not just for changing the government and filling the parliament.
Speaking at a press meet organized by the NC at the party office in BP Nagar, Sanepa, on Monday, NC Vice-President Bishwa Prakash Sharma urged the government to organise a national dialogue for a national solution before the ballot boxes are opened after the voting is over.
Stating that any result could come after the election, he said that this national dialogue would be important to make a common commitment to bind the parties facing the consequences within the commitments.
Vice-President Sharma said it was necessary to reform the party after the Genji movement, adding that it was the responsibility of the NC to bring drastic changes in the development of the country as the party has been elected after the NC has been changed.
He also said that the election assemblies held in all seven provinces have energized the NC. Sharma said that thousands of leaders and cadres leaving different political parties and joining the NC after registering their candidacies in the changed NC is an example of this.
He also claimed that the Nepali Congress would be the number one party after the election.
During the press conference, Vice-President Sharma also urged on seven points.
Seven Points–
1 Calls on all political parties to play a role in conducting the elections in a fear-free environment.
2, Request the Election Commission and the government for complete impartiality to conduct the elections in a systematic manner.
3, Asking voters to vote by deliberating and not on impulse or impulse while voting.
4, Thanking the media for covering NC’s programmes across the country and urging them to provide information in an easy manner without misleading any voter during the silence period. The media should also follow the code of conduct. He urged the voters not to disseminate any information that could influence them.
5, Request to disseminate accurate information through social networks. The Nepali Congress had made 34-point request for election mobilization. We urge our friends to exercise restraint and also to be serious about other political parties. Ask them not to spread any provocation.
6, Congress came here from a special convention amidst many difficulties. We want to honour the leaders and cadres who were deployed for the election. The second thing is who is the candidate from a constituency and in the current situation, the Congress must win. He urged the leaders and cadres across the country to work with more unity and energy. They were urged to facilitate the booth with restraint and unity at the polling station on March 4.
7 The Congress was trying to forge an alliance between the parties in the pre-election and post-election work. The initiative to put the prime ministerial candidates together was not possible. The Congress is ready for a national dialogue on the 22nd without starting the counting of votes a day after the election. That dialogue can be done to dismantle the system and make it last for five years, to address the demands raised by Gen-G. The parties still have hope. The new government and parliament are not only aspirations but also the country’s exit from the elections.
